Smiths Falls PICKLE FEST
Now in it's 7TH SUMMER, The Smiths Falls Pickle Festival is gearing up for a very EVENTFUL DAY on
SEPTEMBER 8th, 2012.
In my opinion, this is the most wonderful time of the year!
I
will never forget the Aroma in the air of the sweet smell of
Gramma's Farm Kitchen, cooking over the old Findlay/Oval Wood
Cookstove. It was very hot while it's being made, but come December and
January, we sure appreciated the jars of PICKLES on the Table every
night. Thanks to ALL the Grandmother's who have handed down their
Pickle RECIPES throught the generations...

Come, join the activities and events of the SMITHS FALLS LION'S CLUB 6th ANNUAL PICKLE FEST. It will be held in beautiful Centennial Park on the banks of of the "Historic Rideau Canal” A UNESCO World Heritage Destination. Also located on the Rideau Waterway, nestled in a tree shaded park in where there are 100,000 blooms, in DOWNTOWN Smiths Falls.
You can sample crispy dills, sweet pickles, tomato relish or plum butter. Bring in your yummy preserves to enter the PICKLE CONTESTS!. Hey kids come eat a pickle or two and become pickle King or Queen for the day. Color OSCAR PICKLE POSTER and become Prince or Princess Pickle for the day. This is a good time to learn about the past how things were done for the family survival in years gone by with our line up of thing from the farming in the past. You will find lots to do there is Pickle Fun For Every One.
